Ron Mueck is an Australian hyperrealist sculptor working in Great Britain. He was born on 1958. Mueck's early career was as a model maker and puppeteer for children’s television and films, notably the film Labyrinth for which he also contributed the voice of Ludo.
Very cool! Reminds me of the airbrush realist Chuck Close, except in 3 dimensions. I’d love to see these works in person. Any chance of a San Francisco exhibition???
Saw this exhibit at the Modern in Fort Worth. It is amazing. One of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. You cannot believe someone made them by hand until you see the video of how he creates them. Not to be missed if it’s in your city!
